On the morning of September 16, members of Feet First, a pedestrian advocacy group, set up a demonstration mini-lot for King 5's Evening Magazine. Keith Harris, the organizer of what he called the "Central Park" site of Park(ing) Day, brought plants from home to dress up their lot, and gave an interview to reporter Meg Coyle.
(clockwise from left) Keith Harris spends a minute in front of the camera with Coyle. Feet First members, Seth Schromen-Wawrin, Lisa Quinn, and Veronica Conti put up the croquet game that, on the 18th, would occupy a parking spot downtown. Conti takes a shot. Harris follows up. Coyle takes a moment to admire Harris' son. |
